This is not a title you can simply be born with. Pumpkin King is a title you earn by being the best at frightening fun in Halloween Town. It comes with a lot of responsibilities. All the goblins and ghouls look to you for inspiration, not many people can pop off their heads to recite Shakespearean quotations! Despite all this dull responsibility, what the Pumpkin King says goes. If Jack Skellington says bats are going to be the main feature this Halloween then millions of bats there will be. If spiders are tickling his fancy then those real-world people better watch out for the eight-legged beasties. And if he says that Halloween Town is going to take over Christmas then by golly, Christmas is theirs!
