Q: I’m confused about the sizing. My son is aged 5 and an Australian size 4 to 5. The measurements don’t seem to match up with Australian clothes sizes. Would the small be around this size? The waist size seems about right but the chest size far too big. Thanks! (1 Answer)

An Australian size 4-5 converts to roughly a US size 4-5, which is actually younger and smaller than our Small, which is sized for a US child size 7-8 with a 29" shirt chest and a 22.5" shorts waist. You're right that the waist on the Small is generous for your son, and the chest will be as well, so the fit may feel quite roomy overall.
