All-American Babies Baseball
All fans of the classic A League of Their Own know that coach Jimmy Dugan was a baseball star. We've seen his tough-as-nails attitude and assumed it was heavily influenced by his years in the game. What we have never been sure of is when Jimmy was this incredible baseballer. Well, we've done a little research and come to a very shocking conclusion. The All-American Girls Professional Baseball League coach, known for claiming there's no crying in baseball, was a member of the lesser-known All-American Babies Baseball League.
This bit of information really changes a couple of things for fans. First, we can assume there was a lot of crying when Jimmy played baseball. Second, Jimmy's grouchy demeanor was clearly developed during an infancy filled with frustrated coaches. We can't blame Jimmy's coaches for being a little stressed, we assume teaching babies how to play ball is like herding cats, but we also wonder why they didn't think of that in the first place. It may have kept Jimmy from being such a curmudgeon as an adult.
Fun Details
To honor Jimmy's history properly, this Coach Jimmy Costume was designed for infants.
