You're right to flag that, and it does look counterintuitive. Our size chart does show the Large with a 21" chest and the Medium with a 22" chest. We'd recommend going by the other measurements to find the best fit, since the Large has a longer tunic (24" vs 20") and longer sleeves (15" vs 14"), which reflects the size step up for ages 4-6 versus 3-4. The Large does show a 21" chest compared to the Medium's 22", so you're reading that correctly. The tunic has a hook and loop fastener at the back of the neck, so there's some adjustability in how it sits, and the Large is cut longer overall with a 24" tunic length versus 20" for the Medium, which may account for some of the difference in how the chest panel is shaped across sizes.(AI Generated Answer)
